Altera, Digitite, Global Unichip, Innotech, PDTi, and Xtrillion Join OCP-IP

Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP) today announced Altera Corporation, Digitite, Global Unichip, Innotech, PDTi and Xtrillion have joined the Organization. The six new members illustrate the importance of standard interfaces for IP and global industry-wide acceptance of the OCP standard. OCP-IP members receive free training and support, software tools, and documentation, enabling them to focus on the challenges of SoC design. Leveraging OCP-IP’s infrastructure eliminates the need to internally design, document, train and evolve a proprietary standard and accompanying support tools, freeing up critical resources for the real design work, while providing enormous cost savings.

Altera® programmable solutions enable system and semiconductor companies to rapidly and cost-effectively innovate, differentiate and win in their markets. Digitite is a fabless semiconductor company focused on providing high performance devices for imaging and machine vision applications specializing in image signal processing with multi-core processor and high level synthesis (HLS).

Global Unichip Corporation (GUC) is a dedicated full service System on Chip (SoC) Design Foundry based in Taiwan. Global Unichip provides total solutions from silicon-proven IPs to complex time-to-market SoC turnkey services. GUC has established a global customer base throughout Greater China, Japan, Korea, North America, and Europe.

Founded in 1987, INNOTECH is Japan's premier importer of high-end semiconductor devices and equipment and a skilled support partner to many of Japan's top electronics makers. The Company maintains direct relationships with every major semiconductor manufacturer in Japan.

PDTi provides EDA products for Register Management which dramatically improve chip design by accelerating development while reducing risk of errors. The company is an innovator in simplifying and automating the critical hardware/software interface development process and a leader in bringing SaaS to EDA.

With approximately 60 employees Xtrillion is a spin off of the medical equipment development functions and the industrial CT development functions of the US corporation TeraRecon, Inc. The development of XTrillion began with the conviction that it will provide immeasurable benefits to medical diagnosis in the search for improved radiation detection and imaging based on state-of-the-art IT technologies in the medical services industry. The endeavors in research and development continued since its conception have now been passed to XTrillion, Inc.
